Well, so much for Max. But I stand by my prediction for Williams.
Also, congratulations to Bottas on 2nd in the championship.
Man it looked like the Mercedes were working together at the start. Nice blocking on Max.
I'd love to hear what was going through Bottas' mind when he was in that traffic before the accident. It would be a solid bleep.
In reply to Keith Tanner :
Bottas doesn't have it wrapped up yet, does he? He has a 12 point lead, but he still has to finish or it can come down to the last race. .....and he appears to have a fight on his hands.

For once, I really feel bad for Max- normally he sticks his nose in bad places- but he played the entire start conservative- from going down into turn one all the way to early braking into 4. Charles' lock up....
BTW, I kind of like seeing the passing pre-DRS working. And the passing is epic- Perez from last to 11's in 4 laps.

THAT was a shock. Really. That side of the track sucked last week.
But my wife is thinking something is wrong with Vateri's car- between the start and the restart- he struggled to get that going.

I've been rooting for BOT for two years now and I know he's a heck of a driver. But if his problems are that his car is broken in some way again, he needs to see a lemon law attorney.

Lots of power in the Racing Point.
Max got screwed by the circuit layout. Most tracks are all tarmac in those kinds of runoff areas, if it had been like that he'd have been fine. Instead he took evasive action, ended up in the gravel, and it just wouldn't turn.
I wonder if Mercedes management is reviewing the contracts to see if they can have Russell next year instead of Bottas... :)
In reply to codrus (Forum Supporter) :
I honestly don't think so. While Bottas isn't the best driver on the team, he's done exactly what he needs to do to help the team. Russell will be Lewis' replacement.
BTW, I just heard and interesting stat- Russell is now #3 for overall laps lead in 2020.
This battle for 3rd is looking to be pretty fun for the end. Can Perex close up to Sainz? A 5 way battle for 3rd would be fun.
Max's four DNFs have potentially cost him 2nd in the driver's championship. All Bottas has to do now is hold station and swallow some pride to get the 2nd place.

Perez should have just gotten him a ride next season. Let his teammate make a mistake and a lap later he passes Ocon- who Stroll could not pass.
Man, WTF is going on with Mercedes? Who's in charge of pit stops this year? This is a screwup of staggering proportions.
