Update:

I made some steel bushings for the Ball joints out of some metal scrap we had, so they are AOK to go. Also got the line for the PS fixed and have a functional power steering now :)

On a bad note... I forgot to tighten up the drivers side wheel bolts and after fixing the brakes and bringing it around to the house the wheel fell off and buckled the fender.... :/ Oh well can't win em all...LOL

If you find your way out here, i've got a fender for you.

Also you were askin about that Red MX-6... Heres a post from my build thread from the guy that help build it...

"its another mx6-gt w/ a full one off body kit build by the guy that dansxr2 bought the car off of and me. The front bumper was fully built in house and amazing strong...to the point I can stand on it. the side skirts are for a probe and cut into 5 pieces and reshaped. The rear bumper was cut into like 8 pieces, shortened, reshaped and put back together. And the wind is off a supra, shortened retaining the stock 3rd brake light. "

What year was the donor car, do you know? It's different from 88-89 vs. 90-92.

Here's some stuff to start you out with, though. Do you need full wiring diagram or just ECU?

[edit]

Here:

90-92 WSM: http://manuals.wibla.net/mazda/90-92WSM/

If that's not what you need, look around here, there's a few other manuals there. http://manuals.wibla.net/mazda/

The engine, trans, brakes, and spidles are from an '88 .

Ah ok, then check the last link. You may have to dig around, but it should be there.

If that doesn't have what you need, join mx6.com and see if anyone else has a link to the 88-89 FSM. I only have the 90-92, sorry.

interested in maybe shipping that fender??? I stopped by a body shop to see what they can come up with. Just considering options :-)

I'll let you know about that late this weekend. I'll be out on saturday to dismantle the car.

I'd prefer not to due to previous bad experiences with fenders being shipped, but i'll see what i can do.

What i can definitely do for you is a nice pair of stock taillights, and i have a spare white driver's side mirror i think....

Got any idea on the specs of that turbo? Doesn't look that big, and seems it's small enough to build boost in neutral. Mine won't do that.

It came with aftermarket taillights as well as the OE ones in the trunk. Your dismantling a whole car??? Hmmm.... What color are is the interior??? I need a few Pieces maybe you'll have them. I'll make you a list. message me an email address?

As for the turbo, Its a Hybrid Ball Bearing unit from Corksport. Its a Garrett GT25 Center Section, RX-7 Turbo II Compressor Housing, T-3 Compressor wheel, and turbine, I'm not 100% on. It spools like crazy!!!! I'll take better pics of it for ya tomorrow.

Ah ok... that's a little baby turbo, that's why. Sounds similar to the old TKT/JG Tools hybrids.

The interior is black/red i think? Been awhile since i've seen it. It's a red 92 MX3 GS.

Sending message.

You can get the V700 in 245/40-16...

That's what i'd suggest for that car. What size rubber is currently on the FD rims?

I can't see the video... can you re-link?

How did it do? I bet it RIPS with that motor in it.

The car is currently running 225/50/16 Nitto NT450's. It got more than enough power and tirque to pull itself out of corners. Last night I discovered my mid rpm stumble is a bad set of 8.8mm taylor plugwires.

Sounds like you're getting compressor surge... what BOV is on there?

Its a Turbo XS RFL. I'm looking at replacing with an HKS SSQV

I must confess i've never used an SSQV. I have had a Greddy Type S and currently have an RZ on my car, and i get no surge. I'm not sure how the in between shift response compares though, since i have no real baseline, and i also run a bigger turbo than you i think.

I may just be hearing the stuttering effect of the RFL and mistaking it for surge.

well i'm gonna need an exhaust manifold... one of my studs stripped the threads so i've got a massive exhaust leak... happen to have one?

You don't need an exhaust manifold... I should have told you this earlier, sorry about that.

Most people re-tap the head for M10 bolts instead of the stock M8. They're known for stripping/snapping. (I haven't done it yet, haven't had an issue. Probably because i've got a new had that hasn't gone through millions of heat cycles yet)

I'd try to get the stud out and get some M10s in there, and you should be good to go. The stud isn't part of the manifold.

But if you DO need a new manifold, hop on MX6.com and make a WTB thread. Someone's got one, and they'll sell for cheap.
