there are still some open spots for HPDE1 spots (no charge other than joining NASA)

Wow! $45 for a NASA membership (with GRM included?) and a free HPDE included. That's a really good deal. If you were doing one down here @ Sebring I'd definitely do it.
704 is the Charlotte area...
click on the link and go to "contact us" it's Julie and Jim Pantas... registrar and RE the track is NCCAR (North Carolina Center for Automotive Research)
she told me the only one with room still was the Sept event there

Especially if you need to buy a set of 15 or 17 inch wheels.
do you mean by the money saved..?? but that having been said, I am looking for a set of 15" Suby steelies anyone have an old set they would like to get rid of ?
Wow - anyone wanna watch my kids in September? Has anyone been on this track?
That promotion reads as if they'll give you a free hpde if it's your first at ANY SE NASA event - if that's true, life gets easier for the events at CMP and road atlanta.
Hmm...
Might want to check that Konig deal. Right beside Konig on the list of benefits is Vital ID - which shut down around 4-5 years ago.
But I sure want it to still be active. That's outstanding.

when I asked Julie if I could do the CMP event in May she said it was full.... I failed to ask if it was actually full, or just full of the new member free event placement ...

It was more like $75 /wheel for the 15 inchers last year.
I got two sets for $55 each, but I guess that i was more than a year ago.
NASA needs to update their benefits page.
I got all excited about the $55 dollar wheels, then read the rest of the tread after browsing the catalog. Still a better deal than discount tire.
That's a regional site. Here's the official Member Benefits page.

Looks like discounts on Konig wheels, but no specific numbers.
Ah man, I used to travel to Charlotte all the time when my sis and her husband lived there. I'm not all that far away and I'm already a member of NASA. The link is busted and I don't know what the date is, but the E30's outta commission at the moment anyway, and it smells like a sweaty foot. Bummer.
the date for their CMP event is Feb (something) I'll post this evening the actual.... and the "free" event I'm planning to attend is Sept 25/26... I'm on my way to work right now (car's warming up ... it's 16° out there now) I'll confirm their dates later
