Semi-related post but, hey, I'm still chewing my lunch.
A few years ago a much-anticipated store opened near my parents' house. It was like a country store-type of deal.
Anyway, I was in town that weekend, so we all went downtown for the grand opening. The doors opened, and my dad made a beeline for the cashier and bought some trinket off the counter.

Added bonus: A photo of him making that first purchase made the front page of their local paper.
