Wow, I've looked (okay, not real hard) a couple of times and never saw a turbo for sale. There aren't many of any kind left.
Hell, it's less than an hour's drive from here! Wonder where one finds metric tires nowadays, I know options were nil 5+ years ago.
I was never a huge Renault fan, but I always liked the Fuego. And as ValuePack mentioned, tires may actually prove to be the biggest obstacle with this car.
It's been ages since I saw one of those. Those TRX tires are still available from Coker Tire if you got the bux. http://www.summitracing.com/search/product-line/coker-michelin-trx-tires

Eye-wateringly expensive! Good to see they can be had, anyway.
A few minutes of Googling suggests the Fuego is 4x100, so thank God for that. A new set of rolling stock sure beats $2k for a set of tiny all seasons, at least.
I tried searching but I have had no luck, are they front wheel drive? One of the pictures of the undercarriage suggest that it is.
Wow. A Unicorn should be something you'd want to own. I owned 2 Fuegos back in the day. A N/A 1.6L 5-spd. and an auto 2.2. i also owned a 2.2 sportwagon. I also had the honour (lol) of driving probably the nicest, most well preserved example of a turbo ever. These cars were notoriously unreliable, slow, expensive to fix and underperforming. The turbos were neat, but so slow.
Run screaming. This is no unicorn, let them all die. It was because of these cars I ran to Hondas, and never looked back. My 83 Civic was 10 times the car the Fuego ever was. The name was appropriate, let them burn.
If you have any questions, ask away. The 2.2 Fuego I owned I tore apart and rebuilt almost the whole car. It was gorgeous, but still a POS.

From some searching it looks like the bolt pattern is 4x100.
I have seen a fuego before, never a 17 though. A Bagheera would be awesome though, I had kinda forgotten about those but I wouldn't mind owning one.
