A friend has just got a write up on Hooniverse. Steve Nowicki used to rally a Plymouth Fire Arrow back when they were new and won the (then SCCA) Pro rally 2WD class championship in one. Years and other cars came and went then he dropped out of rally for over decade. He bought another Fire Arrow a few years ago and built it up again for G2 rallying. I crewed at his first event back (Sno*Drift) 2012 and had a blast. Watch the vid linked at the bottom of the Hooniverse write up. We all have Walter Mitty moments and think if we had the time and money we could do this or that. But the pucker factor even watching that video makes me wonder if my nads have shrunk over the last 20 years, or if my self-preservation has grown to the point I just don’t see myself as being able to hurtle down an icy road with trees just a few feet off to each side.
BTW, all the paint on the car is original including the black hood and fake bird arrow white stencil thing.

Here's a pic from working on the car and service in 2012
And from this years event
Love the Arrow. Excellent handling cars.

I have fond memories watching that car go by back in the day. Fantastic to see it still doing its thang!
Oooo. Pretty. He coming to 100 Acre Wood?
I had a '78 Arrow myself, cool little car. Always have wanted a Fire Arrow.
I've watched the video twice now. Pretty good driving.
I'd like to think that I could do stage rally, but I'm just kidding myself.
Rally drivers and fans are crazy, huge bonfires out of nowhere, picture flashes, and fans mm away from the track. Cool video though looks like a blast.
Oh man I saw read the early entries and I assumed that this was the same car from when he originally did it. I was astonished to see that it was still running, makes sense that it is a new chassis. You guys have been picking your speed up since 2012 for sure, see you every sno*drift!
In reply to fidelity101:
I can't remember where he found the 'new' car, I think it was Washington state or somewhere. The guy had taken it apart like 20 years ago to build one just like Steve used to rally, then it just sat in pieces. When he found Steve wanted to buy it and start rallying again he was over the moon. I haven't crewed since 2012, I don't have time to commit enough.
Man that thing is awesome. It's cool to see an uncommon chassis thrashing through the snow.
