The tank on my car is not vented, I will be venting it. I was thinking that I would want 2 check valves with a nominal opening force(1/4 or 1/2 lb, more, less?) plumbed in parallel in opposite directions.
This way, its not breathing all the time and people are less likely to inform me that they smell leaking gas when there is none, and that air is able to enter the tank when fuel is consumed, and its able to vent in the case of a cold morning fill up followed by parking in the sun instead of pushing it into the carbs.
The question is what to use. I am thinking 1/4 dia fittings will be enough, but are there ratings for opening pressure with out having to get in to a 40+ dollar valve ? I see some as low as a couple bucks but no info on them other than the barb diameter.
Thanks, Steve
