Very cool and good luck!

I also agree about the raffle ticket idea and would be in for a number of them.

Edit: after a quick Google session, there may be tax issues with a raffle that may be more than what the car owner (Carly?) would want to deal with. Hmm... this could be a tricky one.

One more reason I love this place

In for a raffle. Loving the build. A Turbo-rotary has been something I've wanted to see for a looooong time

Well, then lets stop calling it a raffle and just go with the idea of $20 donations to her college fund.

How and to whom she decides to will the car is then up to her.

Yep, gov't makes the raffle idea pretty undoable, and even if that were not the case, pretty massive promotion is required to get a fair amount of $$ for an affordable ticket price. We're gonna do this short and sweet and get the car sold for Carly as soon as possible.

Bringatrailer.com might be the perfect venue to get lots of exposure and a quick sale.

Kudos on doing a great thing!!

Engine and transmission are in the car and it's rolling. We're leaving Columbia, SC now and headed to Asheville, NC to a bigger shop to get it driving.

Loaded up and ready to go.

Great team of guys to work on a car with.

Yep, they are in Asheville at Steve Eckerich's shop. Great place for this: No one knows rotaries like Steve--he helped Speedsource win several championships--he was a big part of our Ro-Spit project, and he's very, very good people.

Wow! I haven't heard Steve's name in forever! It's a small world. I met him in ~2000, when I bought a gorgeous e30 M3 from him. Picked it up from his shop in Asheville! I foolishly sold it in 2003.

So with the GRM/CM connections to Barrett-Jackson, will it be going across the stage in a prime-time slot?

DeadSkunk, The fat guy on the right is me. The guy in the drivers seat is Rod, Mike's brother. Next to him is Keith, a local hill climber and rotard. The black sweat shirt is Steve. Far right is Tuck, also a hill climber and rotard.

Alright so here we are in Asheville. We immediately pulled the engine back out to finalize everything before the engine goes in for the last time.

Threw it up on a rotisserie.

Made a brace for the diff since we won't be using a ppf.

Smoothed out a lot of the welds on the subframe and cut out more of the firewall.

Just like new.

Made some new engine mount spacers.

Tom said that BaT would probably end up being the best place ...but that they would wait a bit to make any decision
