Also the GLHS didn't get an upgraded turbo. Also, the Odyssey article makes it sound like the turbo Caravan wasn't a factory option.

What the GLHS got was what eventually became the Turbo II induction setup with a Turbo I bottom end.

The GLHS does not have the same turbo as the normal GLH, it might not be a lot different in specs, but a GLH turbo wouldnt be a bolt on swap for a GLHS.

The only difference is the compressor housings. The early (pre 88) T1 cars had a compressor housing with a three bolt flange for the suck through setup. All T2 cars had the same turbo, but with a more "normal" looking compressor housing. You can take a early T1 garrett and put a T2 housing on it and it is identical. Now 88-up T1 cars had a Mitsu TD04 that was much smaller.

Great article and a great issue but.......................here's the inevitable you should have included the "fill in the blank here". But you should have included the RX7. A two seater rotary powered sports car........now that's a game changer! Well done though.
