In my Midlana project I am using an SRT-4 engine and transmission with a stock clutch and slave cylinder. I am replacing the master cylinder with a Wilwood unit with a similar bore to the OEM master, and will have a much longer than stock hydraulic line between the two with the engine now behind the driver. I was originally planning to use a hard line back to the engine with a short flexible AN line to the slave cylinder, but the routing will leave a local high point where the hard line connects to the flex line. Since the slave lacks a standard bleed port I am thinking that this may lead to a spongy pedal and bleeding challenges.
Looking at the process for bleeding the OEM system it seems that you need to be able to pull the slave cylinder and make it the low point of the system: https://my.prostreetonline.com/2014/03/17/how-to-bleed-an-srt-4-clutch/ Would I be better off using a flexible line all the way from the Master to the slave so that I can bench bleed the whole thing before installing it into the car?
