Thats right!! Gettin my lil bastard back!!! Took me like 2 years to track this kid down, but he still has it. Can't Wait!!
Its a little Fiat 128a, gutted with flared fenders, twin webers, race headers, 3" pipe.
Only pic i can find that is similar...
Not knowing pretty much anything about Fiats in general... that is one sexy little car.

DAMNNNNNN!!!!
as soon as i get it back, ill throw some pics up. From what i heard, some drunk spray painted a penis on the door, looks like i gotta paint a dppr...
They use locally built versions of these things as taxi cabs all over Cairo, Egypt. They don't look that clean, but I always wondered what a nice one would look like.
nice.. always liked the 128.. I wanted either an SL or a 3p.. but all the ones here are FAR too rusty (when you can find them)
Rock on. That thing looks badass!
never seen one before. love the look
A friend of mine has a 128. He just flipped it end over end at Summit Point last weekend. I haven't seen the car but if I know this guy he'll have it running again by next year. He bought it new, drove it about 5 years then turned it into a race car.
Thats cool...that you're getting it back.

Friend of mine just built one into a track rat over the last couple years. They are fun to drive and can be made pretty light but still are a little power lacking unless you dump money under the hood. Those things used to be everywhere, but most all have returned to the earth by now.

Deadsexy w/ the flares. Wow--that looks awesome.
Post pics when you get yours back.
Nice looking fiat! That pic got me researching the 128s. It looks like they made a sports coupe version. does any one know if they brought those to the US ?
Here is a pic of what I am talking about.
yes.. the 128 SL.. the 3p used the same front with a hatchback body.
Also the 124/125/132 series engines can be bolted in for more displacement. Fiat did that in the 80s with the Strada TC 125 and 130
gonna go look at it tomorrow. its only up the street so im grabbing my camera to snap some pics...
I have seen a couple of 128SLs for sale or sitting under a tree, etc, so yea, they are around. Actually, the 3p version is the only one i have never seen.

The SL was from 72-74 methinks. The 3p replaced it 75-77 or thereabouts, which is why there are probably more of them since they were newer and rusted a bit less. I've only seen maybe 3 SL's in my lifetime but at least double the number of 3p's (and owned one). The door bottoms were the first to go on these and doors are about impossible to find.
A 124 dohc is certainly not a "bolt-in". The Ritmo 130TC has a different front chassis than the 128. If you maybe had a Ritmo as a donor you could possibly make it work, but since they were never sold in the US good luck with that. The sohc came in 1100, 1300 and 1500 cc displacements in the 128, Strada and X1/9. Go with the 1500.
funny thing is.. I have seen more SLs than 3Ps.
what is really funny, the 128 was the main competitor to the X1/9. In many cases dealers actually pushed the 128 OVER the X

This would be cool too yes it,s a 4door but if built right it would be cool.
Someone should buy that 131, there are hardly any of them left now. If it was somewhere near where i live, id probably have to buy it. lol

That's awesome.
When I was a kid, my parents had a 131 Mirafiori S wagon.
Loved that car.
(the 128s upthread rock, too -- what is #96 running, 13x8s? Beautiful.)
Update: Just got back from looking at my old beauty. Not really a beauty anymore. Has been sitting outside for a year, rust has started to take a toll. The fiberglass fender has separated from the remaining part of the original metal fender. Wasp nest somewhere in the car, flying all in the inside. It looks like a massive undertaking, but I am still in it to win it!! Im picking it up next weekend to dump in the garage to start the rebirth of my lil beauty. Lucky for me, the largest North American retail Fiat parts carrier is about 20 minutes away. Hopefully, it will be back on the road in a couple of months. Oh, batteries died in the camera, so no pics today, but they are on charge now for when I get it.
