Looks to me like the Aussies get some very interesting cars. Love the sounds. Looks like a soccer mommobile, goes like blazes.

That is what happens when a GTO and a minivan have a love child

I don't know the name of it, but you could get a 4-door off-road looking ute version of the same chassis at one time. Or maybe it was just a concept.

looked like that 'fastet ls1 wagon in the world" needed to short shift into 2nd to gain ANY traction.. even after heating up his tyres.

Shame americans seem to hate wagons. Imagine a GTO wagon.. or even an M5

Are their any Australian market cars that are good looking? They're cool with their American V8's, but man are they hideous.

That is a past version of the Commodore/G8 in the wagon version. All of the full size cars are available downunder in wagon/wagon/sedan form.

i like all the ford falcons down there. especially the FPV stuff:

(5.4 DOHC V8 422hp and 406 ft-lbs or 4.0 DOHC I6 415hp and 412 ft-lbs depending on the model. Both available with a manual 6 speed)

I can see some Mustang in that design..

But yes. Australians seem to like the front of their performance cars covered in grill or flat black plastic that is supposed to mimic the openings of a grill

That's not Australia, that's everywhere. Seen an Audi lately? Or a new Mazda? And that's just to name a few - it makes Baby Jesus cry.

I've always wondered if they would have done better importing it as a Chevy
