Hey guys,

I have a friend who has a 2012 GMC Acadia, and she asked me if I could help with replacing the radio amplifier. Apparently it is bad, and she bought a used working one on ebay. She also told me that it's a real bugger to replace according to her research on the subject. According to a post on an Acadia forum she showed me the guy in said thread said he had a miserable time  and he's a 6 foot tall 200 lb guy. I'm also 6 foot but well above 200. I'm guessing this might suck. She asked if I could do it for her, but said she understands if I don't want to .  Any words of wisdom. I know nothing about these cars. Should I run(well walk because I'm a fat guy)?

I have read up on it - I have a 2008 that needs replaced. It is in the footwell on the drivers side. I had a sunroof drain that got clogged and dumped a lot of water in that area that I think may have killed mine. It does look like a pain, but there are lots of youtube videos showing how to do it.
