I'm looking for a possible upgrade for my inner tie rod for my Sierra. I like to upgrade a bit whenever possible. I see very mixed reviews with the Moog stuff lately and ACDelco stuff seems to be taking as the go-to replacement.
Do you guys know of a brand that's something of an upgrade from OEM?
Bias answer but the company I work for sells ttx line made by mevotech, it sells very well in markets with lots of farm trucks and forestry vehicles and seems to be well liked by the techs and customers.

They are an issue?
They seem to last long enough as long as you actually bother to grease them every now and then. And clean the Zerk fitting before you grease it so that you aren't pumping abrasive dirt and debris into the joint. Have seen 200-250k mile trucks with the original front end parts.

Well, they're an issue in that they're original at 210,000 miles and worn. I've looked at dozens of reviews and far too many say A) the Moogs don't come with Zerk fittings (conflicting research on that one) and B) the Moogs wear out in just a few thousand miles.
And since we're all car-guys, we like to upgrade as we replace.
I know nothing of your application, but when I rebuilt the steering/suspension on my F150, people guided me to Moog Problem Solver parts. At least for some applications, they're beefier than stock.
I used a mix of the high line of mevotech and ac delco on my Avalanche and everything seemed OE equivalents.
Box or rack?
When I had my 04 Avalanche, I was seriously going to go with something like the upgraded inner and outer tierods from a place like kryptonite. For some reason GM loved to cheap out on the steering box trucks.
What about 2500/3500 parts? Usually way more beefy than 1500 stuff, and generally interchanges.

For a steering box truck, they are the same for 1500 and 2500's.
Aren't these the type where the zerk fitting is in the center link, and the inner is a "rack style" unit?
Or do I have my GM alphabet soup mixed up?
