i have been searching for a tow rig and i found it. it needs a "little" work it does run and drives. now i just have to get hauled from the Va./NC border to pittsburgh but i do have some great plans for it. this goes to the top of list of things to be done. and yes i paid over challenge price
Is there some sort of weird competition between you, Paul, and Steve?

That's awesome. I love the short-hood trucks of that era...
Wow. That's a pretty neat chunk of old truck.
that does not look comfortable for the long haul...
Brilliant, I would love a 56 Ford COE
BERSERKER!!! Yes, that is an awesome truck.

But you'll be doing it in a cool old Chevrolet!
Looks possibly dangerous, but I like it. I love that number font on the gauges.
The awesomeness of this place never ceases to amaze me. Very very cool truck.
Very cool. I love those old trucks. Not that I actually know anything about them. Can you give me (us) a few details? Like year, some basic specs etc.
In reply to doc_speeder:
It is a 1947 it was built by a chevy dealer in brookville va. It spent its life there the dealer went out of business and then it went to a fellow with a small junkyard who used it to tow around cars at the yard. It has a 6 cyl 4 speed. When you get it up to 50mph you hold on for dear life. There is no rot this is the coe i have been looking for. The view from the driver seat is so cool
