^^ with regard to the shiny dash, I have mine flocked with the cheap $15 don-jur kit. Looks good, disguises the sun cracks, and absolutely unreflective. Has held up well after five years of rallycross/rally. To clean just vacuum with a brush attachment ;)

I've also found that a hood painted a flat/matte color doesn't reflect glare to the driver on certain sun angles.

This seems like one of the more grassroots threads on here, lets make it at least 10 pages!

I put a strip of electrical tape over the top edge of my visor on sunny days, it acts like the visor of a baseball cap.

Don't forget a handle strapped to the drivers' side A-pillar down bar on the roll cage.. That makes it significantly easier to get in and out, especially with your helmet & hans already on.

For anything wagon-like that has foldable rear seats and still has them installed, the space under the seat bottoms can be handy for things that need to be contained (especially if it's held by a mount and under the seats). Good for an emergency flashlight, etc.

Probably minor compared to some of these tips, but I took the backseat out of the Abarth. It was half-ass on seat room and storage, not doing either one very well. I figured ditch the seat (47# weight reduction) and now it has pretty good storage space.

Bought one of these on Amazon, and put a cardboard box in the larger side for rigidity. Bungie cord to both sides to keep from sliding, and now have something to manage quite a bit of stuff from rolling around the car, but easy to remove when I need to carry something bigger.

For any race car that sees any night action, reflective tape on the door jambs and corners of the bumper for when you go off, spin, lose lighting, or are broken down at the side of the stage/track. Let's other cars see you better.

When I used to work tech at Rim of The World rally I saw lots of cars with a spare fan belt zip tied to the roll hoop. Seemed like a good idea so I used it for my road race car.

On the Datsun I painted the valve clearances on the side of the valve cover.

I painted a red stripe on various components that need to line up so it can be done at a glance (Driveshaft Flywheel etc).

I also marked TDC on the crank pulley. I also mixed and matched the timing chain cover and crank pully. There are two styles of each. I used the multi mark pulley with the multi mark cover, this way I can see up to 40 degrees of advance.

I have loop of nylon strap on the door; I get all buckled and then simply reach between the door bars and pull the door shut.

I put notes inside badge holders on lanyards and hang them from the wink mirror; reminder to fuel the car after lunch, check tire pressure etc.

On my wheel spider, I always put a zip tie or piece of tape around the stem for the size I need. Same color as the car. Keeps me from wasting time looking for the correct one.
