I am a fan of this era of the DTM. Great race footage compilation. Makes me miss my e30 M3.

That was great. The way they bounce around, it's as if they dont have any suspension.

thanks so much for posting that dyintorace. I wish that touring cars were still broadcast here in the good ol' US of A instead of CRAP ASS NASCAR TV. I really miss seeing great racing like BTCC and DTM from the late 80's thru the late 90's I feel like the Touring car drivers may have been some of the best drivers hands down in a non-aero assisted car. thanks again

While I do love to watching Touring car racing, they always seem to have a lot more balls than skill. Their wrecks are never "whoops a little bump on the wall". It's always "Forget the hairpin, flat out!". But they do have a lot of skill.

This is adding to my evil thoughts. Daughter came home last week and told me her boss is looking to get rid of his 05 Mercedes C230 Kompressor for pay off (about $15k). We're currently looking to replace my wife's 02 Camry and I thought this would be good till I found out it was a 6-speed manual and the wife don't/won't drive a stick. Wonder how one of these would do autocrossing. Supposedly gets better mpg than my Miata and certainly has more room.

Man, you'd think a little more droop travel might come in handy with some of those tracks Great stuff.

I love the weepy slo-mo bit at the beginning. Got me all emotional, sniff.

Seriously, lose the "music" and keep the wonderful combustion chamber orchestra!

Otherwise, I give it a big thumbs up!

Normally, I'd agree. Most automotive musical montages can go the way of the dodo as far as I'm concerned.

However, the bad German pop was entertaining in a way I can't entirely explain (or admit to). It was like a train wreck between mustaches, aviators, lederhosen, and david hasselhof that I just couldn't look away from.

If your eyes aren't melting out of your head from that image try this:
