locostUSA link
I know there are a lot of Locosters here at GRM. LocostUSA is one of the sites I enjoy even though I have no locost other than the one in my dreams. On that site there is one build thread in particular that I find very inspirational. It is not a Lotus 7 based car at all - it is more of a bike engined street legal LMP inspired car.
I would love to see an article on this car in GRM when it is all done. The link is to the build log - it's long.
now watching that thread. Thank you.

Wow - want to do something like that - too bad the car ADD gets in the way.

I know that one of the LocostUSA build cars is going to be in the June issue, actually...

That is true. It's a locost that's not a locost.

I know it's not a locost. I like it because it is different and beautifully put together. It is grassrootsy in that it is being built in the guys parents' garage, by one guy on his spare time he carves out of his weekends.
I'm glad one of the other LocostUSA builds will be in the magazine - I will read and enjoy the article - to paraphrase Gene Frenkle - I could always use a little more Locost. I just find that particular build to be the most inspirational.
Man, that's really close to what I had in mind for the Subaru-powered "Porsche 908" I asked about in my other thread...
I wonder if Woody has seen this yet...

Hmmm....A locost that is not sevenesque (i.e. doesn't look like a "locaterfield".) That's my favorite kind.

Thanks for the link. I love the BEC's. I now have a plan for my 1953 Renault. All donations are tax deductible. I am a VERY non-profit organization! Make checks payable to Randy's home for abused and abandoned automobiles.
