GRM Average Daily Driver Age?

nocones and i are in agreement until ClearWaterMS. CWMS reported 4 cars, then stated that only the 2022 and 2024 are daily drivers, so i didn't count the 2008 or 2005. At that point we are at 339/23.

then gearheadE30 reported an average year of 2002 but did not say how many cars. i currently have him in my sheet with one car, bringing my totals to 408/27.

i think nocones has a data entry error on Apexcarver's info (you have 2x 2006 where i have a 2023 and a 2006)

after that, we are in full agreement through einy, at which point i have 603/43. that is tentative, awaiting gearheadE30's number of daily drivers.

with Floating Doc's 4 cars, i have 679/47.

with DeadSkunk's 4 cars, i have 732/51.

theruleslawyer brings me up to 738/52.

gearheadotaku puts my totals at 790/54.

preach pushes me to 886/57.

white_averson makes 912/58.

iansane gets me to 980/61.

buzzboy's 3-car average puts me at 1058/64.

snrub adds 2 cars, new totals 1076/66.

indyguy's 3 cars extend my numbers to 1122/69 dudes.

gameboy puts me at 1142/70.

VolvoHeretic's 2 cars make 1185/72.

02Pilot makes 1220/74.

stampie makes 1243/75.

EricM makes 1264/76.

Racingsnake makes 1342/78.

Curtis73 makes 1361/79

and that is current to this point in the thread.

My summer daily: 1996 - 29 years

My fun cars are a 2005 and 1995 - 20 and 30 years there.

so, by my tentative count, bmw88rider puts us at 1396/81, and the angryfam pushes us to 1443/86 for a GRM average so far of 16.78 years per daily driver.

Of the daily drivers, I have two.

2009 Hummer H3T is 16.

The 2014 Touareg is 11.

That puts my personal daily average at 13.5

If I understand the process, that would bring the GRM total up to 1470/88 for an average of 16.71.

My fleet average is 43.72 with vehicles from 1926, 1956, 1962, 1988, 2009, 2014, and 2014. 

I did not count my wife's cars. She has a 1999, 2003, and a 2018. The 2018 is her daily. 

My DD is 2009 and wife is 2022

So it looks like we are about 4 years older then average with almost 90 cars reported.

I will post just the daily drivers, not the whole fleet.  

1997 Jetta 28 years old, my daily driver

1998 Sentra GXE 27 years old, my other daily driver

2007 Accord 18 years old, my wife's appliance

My two DD's are 1995 and 1996

My true daily: 2017 - 8 years

My summer daily: 1995 - 30 years

Mrs. Calteg's DD: 2008 - 17 years

My daily (CX-5 Turbo) - 2021 - 4 years old

My wife's daily (Fusion) - 2012 - 13 years old

Average age - 8 years old.

My car is a 2020, 5 years old

Currently:  (13 + 7 + 6) / 3 = 8.67 years.

In 2017 it would have been (5 + 13 + 14) / 3 = 10.67 years.

Dude there's a ton of math happening here and that's not really my thing at 11pm so I'll just say while I don't "daily" anything anymore, the 2017 van (8) is the closest to it for half of the year and the 2003 Z4 (22) gets the other half. Feel free to engineer that into the spreadsheet or if I was supposed to do math myself please disregard my reply.

I built one. It has formulas and conditional formatting and all that E36 M3. No pivot tables though, as I never taught myself how to build them, and I never really understood their value.

Wife's daily is 7 years old

Mine is 14 years old. 

I've lost track of where the average is though, so I can't help with the overall numbers.
