GRM peer pressure?

Another Saab 900 SPG came home to live with me yesterday. Generally speaking I prefer non mainstream cars. But it seems like I prefer the same offbeat stuff that a lot of my fellow GRM folk like. Daily is a Mazda 5 Grand Touring with RX8 wheels. I now have two 88 Saab 900 SPGs ,A 92 900 Turbo convert.  We have an 86 F250 Diesel 4wd regular cab that was a fire truck. And a 86 F150 parts truck. The only mainstreamish thing now is a 2008 Bullitt Mustang. Recent rides include the obligatory NB Miata, numerous Crown Vics including an ex ATF LX HPP car , Volvo 740 Turbo wagon, Volvo V70 t5's , Saab 9-5 Aero, Wicked little 91 LX 5.0 coupe. GMC Syclone and more. So are you folks persuading me to buy these things while I am innocently enjoying GRM?

Nah. I love VWs and a lot here don't. The same goes for Audis. I love what I love and many here feel the same. The fact is that you're an oddball, like the rest of us. That's why you're here. If you liked boring cars, you wouldn't be here. Boring cars suck (unless you love reliability, lol)

It's not peer pressure, it's a support group for poor decision making. 

You make the poor decisions, and we whole heartedly support you. 

Are you suggesting that some of us might look at somebody about to inflict much pain and suffering on themselves then do nothing to stop it because the way they go about it looks like it'll be fun to watch? Are you also suggesting that we also spend plenty of time on both ends of this scenario? 

I have a lot more fun making poor decisions than I do watching other people do the same. I will admit that watching is usually much less painful. 

If a person is the sum of their experiences, then I'm a little bit of everything solely because of my innate ability to enjoy doing stupid E36 M3.

What kind of support group member would I be if I didn't?

I don't hate VW but like only a handful  However I cannot walk by a MkIV/Bora without thinking it was one of the best styled small rwd cars in recent memory.  Of course it's not rwd but there are always broken clean ones in the mid-atlantic for several hundred dollars on cl.  Do I have the skills/workspace for such a project?  No.  But it's the only one on my mind right now.
