When I sold my Suby, I had to warn the kid who bought it three times during the test drive, not to rev the engine while it was still cold. I would be amazed if the original engine is still in that car. Stupidity can wreck an engine (any engine) pretty fast.
I was not the owner, but a very good friend of mine was. I did drive the car when it was a few days old, though.

Hah, motors that break, so novel. Makes me think about that dodge dynasty i sold for $400 bucks.. i started using the oil pressure gauge as an oil level gauge over 10 years ago and constantly complained about how low the rev limiter was because i was constantly on it, and that thing is still going.
Honestly, ive never had a motor failure while i owned the car out of probably 35+ running cars ive owned, except for gradual loss of oil pressure due to age/wear (swapped out before actual breakage), and melted pistons due to TURBO ACTION. And that was only one time.
