You've by now seen this thread for the street cars. Now it's time to 1-UP, get serious, and debate the beauty of the pure racing machines!
Rules:
Aesthetic design only. We don't care if it's cool, fast, crappy, or just box flares on a box. If you don't want to mount one on your wall and just ogle it, it doesn't belong here.
The list is up for revision at any time. If you feel a car needs to move up or down, say so and why ("the car was fast, but it's ugly").
You must include a picture of the car you nominate, in RACING condition. Prefer the original photos, not replicas. Bonus points for on-track action!
No Street Cars! If it wasn't a racecar, it can't wrestle. There can be 1-of handmade cars (nee - mid-engine Scarab, etc), semi-production cars (nee - Ferrari 250GTO), full-production homologation specials (RS200), etc, etc, as long as it's the actual race version!
Let's try and keep liveries out of this. We want basically the body design. This may be tough, but we have to try. Getting pics of the racers in pre-sponsor form would obviously be best!
Be nice!
And so, we begin...

In reply to pinchvalve:
Damn that's hot, but what is it? (The first one, I know the second one is a Ferrari P4)
