Harley has a portion of their website called "Freedom Ain't Quiet". It's where riders can post their thoughts about Harley and Freedom. Up until recently these nuggest of wisdom were automatically published.
Then HD announced their decision to quit building Buell motorcycles....
....and this happened.
Evidently now the word Buell and it's derivatives are marked as swear words on the site.
"Freedom Ain't Quiet" indeed.

VW is shopping for a motorcycle line and is considering Ducati... I wish Buell had their own facilities ;)
But on the flip side they did come out with a newly designed chrome dipstick handle for the Poserglide and Geezerglide models....attorneys for H-D are currently working on patenting the sound they make as they are retracted from the oil tank.

Any time I see a Buell around town now, I think of it as a collectible. A very tragic collectible.
I usually think of them as the only bike i can win against in a street race 
Figures, HD would want to stifle "Freedom". So, I see the company is a bunch of posers, just like the riders.

has Buell sales tanked that much? Or have harley's sales gone down so much they think that Buell is hurting them?
For 99% of people, motorcycles share more in common with boats than cars. As soon as money is tight, they are currency, not transportation. I am surprised that HD's sales did not drop more over the past year; cutting Buell just seems shortsighted.
They are also ditching MV Augusta, which they bought just last year...
