I'm having some thoughts and looking for some feedback.
I had a friend who listed an old family truck through them, and I believe that's where the buyer found the truck. Anything specific you'd like to know?
I've tried multiple times to list with them for Gramp's cars (he doesn't know how - or want to - use a computer) and I just never made it anywhere with them.
Honestly, I'd try the Open Classifieds here on GRM first.
I think someone on the mercedes forum tried selling a 500slc through bring a trailer and it was a complete waste of time and money. The person also said he didn't get good service and was disappointed for the money spent. I think there was an issue with how the advert was worded and edited and BAT was a pain to deal with. Ended up putting the car on ebay and it went higher than expected. I think a euro buyer bought the car and it headed home.
We did a BAT exclusive with a mk2 cortina. It was priced reasonably and well photographed. It went on the website Friday morning around 6 and we had 30 emails by 8am and sold it on the first call back.
The amount of exposure that BAT has is amazing. BAT's fee was under $100 on our transaction.
They were slow to respond to my inquiry regarding listing a car, ultimately claiming to be 'on the fence' in deciding if it was worthy of their site.
They came back a couple weeks later, by which time I had already sold the car via a free listing on a marque specific site (for full price to a buyer on the opposite coast - woohoo!).
In fairness, that was a couple of years ago when they were just getting started, and they may have been choosier about content then they are these days.
They are choosy, but if you know how to write an ad and are capable of taking MANY, GOOD pictures they will probably help you out.
