Any word on the actual circumference of the 245/35 r15? Such a strange size. I heard they run a bit wide, does that mean that their profile is enlarged also? Should be if following the % rule. I really don't want to lower my car any more than it is, as well as the shorter gearing associated with going to these. For reference, 2004 MSM, currently running 245/40 r15 RS4s on a 9" wheel.

OD"s are listed here, in your choice of Imperial or Resistance...err, Metric units: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Afob6A0PGYkcMljJtR_DRBFuXawBE4v4fOVULvYgbPc/edit?gid=442494965#gid=442494965
I picked up a set of 17 inch wheels this week. Too few options for 16 inch sizes. Currently using 225/50-16 RE71rs, for autocross. Class limited to a 7 inch width wheel.
I will be trying the P1 in 225/45-17 after I finish off the Falken 660 tires on the 17s.
Not seeing much discussion about these on low power FWD cars.
In reply to Floating Doc (Forum Supporter) :
I'm giving their smallest size(195-50-15)a try on a 109hp turd, won't be for awhile yet though.

Excellent artcile and feedback from everyone! Im in hot pursuit for some new racing tires before the season starts up for me. I run intermediate on track with a 2018 M3 (stock) and im coming off of Toy R888s. Yeah i know. They did serve me pretty well but def looking for something more consistent that will give me more confidence in high speed corners and just increasing my times overall while maintaining thru each session all day. These sound like the ticket. I've research the crap outta just about everything else.
Anyone have exp with these on an M3/M4 or similar?

Be nice to have ability to flop these to the other side of car if any irregular wear occurs but thats not happening if their directional.

And I just noticed that TireRack is now selling the VitourP1.......so it's mainstream now.

Well, I just ordered a set for my ES MR2 Spyder. I have a codriver which should help heat them up, and we have a set of RE71RSs for cold and/or rainy days, plus a set of Conti ECS 02s for extreme cold and rain
I ran my P1s on my C7 Z06/Z07 today at autocross. I was midpack but that was due to my own timidity in navigation; I wasn't as aggressive as usual, but that has nothing to do with the tires. The tires were fantastic! I'm quite impressed and look forward to getting some track time on them.

Got these tires for my G80 M3 CS. I came off the TAP 285/35/19 running a 1:34.55 at Barber and the Nankang 305/30/19 running a 1:34.37 also at Barber to now trying the VITOUR. Tires where heat cycles by PTS. After 6 sessions LF was pretty worn out. Best time on these 1:35.99 , under breaking the car was very unsettled, there was poor grip mid corner and on corner exit. I put on a scrub set of NANKANG CRS with 18 heat cycles and ran a 1:.35.17 after being held up by traffic. Car was more settled and predictable on the Nankang with better turn in, mid corner grip and corner exit. And that was after 18 heat cycles with very good wear.
Tires are loud at the limit. Might be good for beginners.
Test results dont go with my experience by maybe its because I drive a heavy car.

I subscribed to GMR+, got double-charged and still can't access the article. Pretty frustrating!
I'm in Canada and ordered from the Canadian distributor. They have the 345/30-18 and 315/30-18's I ordered in stock but say they aren't shipping until April 25th because the risk of freezing during transport is too high. I can't wait because this is the first year of running my car at SCCA SoloNationals and these tires are supposed to be pretty good. Those 345's should give me some good grip

Solo Nationals is not until September. Why the rush?
Just use what you have now until it warms up a bit more.
Further, even if it's not sub-freezing, it's still going to be quite chilly in Canada right now and these tires really need some heat to work. They are skateboards until they come in. Depending on your ambients, it's not likely to be a positive experience.

Distributor in Quebec?
I also am waiting but they are still somewhere on route between Vancouver and him.
For sure they've already seen freezing or at least very near freezing since they started the long trip from the plant.
I was supposed to have a co-driver for heat but that looks to have fell thru, car is light but at least I'm not trying to warm up steam rollers with it so fingers crossed.

I'm not in a rush but would be nice to have them for Springnats so I can start getting to suspension dialed in on the Lincoln concrete, which couldn't be more different than the bumpy asphalt of our local site. And being a lot wider than what I have on the car now, I gotta make sure nothing rubs so trying them out before heading south in a month for the Pro would be beneficial
