Oh, i agree with you... but in line with the original post, it's not as terrible a suggestion as one would think.

Would i have it over an XJS, 928, or GTO? HELL NO.

Here is what i have against japanese, I am japanese. I have a 2000 Landcruiser, 2005 sienna, and a 2005 corolla. Love toyotas, they make great cars, I wanted something with a little more character, flair and something my 16 year old sons friends wont drool over. Hence the no Japanese clause. Heard they have a name for the type of cars i am looking for "Newtimers" not sure if that is correct or not..

My first reaction is to agree with the 1st year recent Pontiac/Holden GTO suggestions.

I'm actually rather surprised nobody has mentioned P71s or a Mercury Marauder yet. V8s, large, comfy, plenty of mod potential...

Plus, would a 2000 or so Camaro/Trans Am work? The LS1 beckons...
