I know we talked about the 420 hp twin turbo V6 that will be optional, but damn this car looks awesome. It's larger and weighs 200+ lbs less than the outgoing CTS and BMW 5-series.
To me, Cadillac is starting to look like a Cadillac again.

I was not a fan of the newer Caddy styling but it has grown on me especially with the CTS-V wagon. I am just going to say holy hell that is hot!
Definitely a fan of what Caddy has done over the past decade or so. This one is no exception. Really sharp car. I agree with OP, you can definitely see old school Caddy lines in it.
I got a chance to see the ATS up close before it was released, that's a SMOKIN' little car. This appears to be no different. Cadillac has stepped their game up for sure. I'd not be embarassed to own any of their sedans. Or the CTS wagon. Screw the SUV's.
yeah this car looks fantastic. Props to Caddy (and GM) for stepping up to the plate.
The car looks distinguishably it's own. It's actually got windows! ...unlike the gun slit themes that seem to be shrinking windows with taller and taller beltlines on sheetmetal. I generally dislike the new LED trends, but the execution here is done very well, and draws into the bolt lines the Caddy carries.
This will have a serious presence rolling down the street. Color me impressed.
Many have knocked the rear for being too bland, but i think it strikes a nice counterbalance, and actually draws the lines together well, with some subtle surface treatments that add dimension... I love how although the taillights are "wide" they have an upright LED section that stands off of the decklid (almost a mini tailfin nod)
I agree with the OP. Cadillac is starting to look like a Cadillac again.
I think the styling of the CTS just keeps getting better, this new one is gorgeous! Plus being lighter and the new powertrain? Cadillac is swiftly getting their mojo back, and then some.
Ford/Lincoln, take notice!

Take the grill and taillights away and it's indistinguishable from any other manufacturers large sedan. Looks vanilla to me.
In reply to Zomby Woof:
You can say that about just about every single car made today, actually. The days of actual "car" design (as opposed to headlight/grill design) have long since passed.
Looks too much like an S-class knockoff to me, yet at the same time the LED sides are borderline ricey. They should have stuck with the old style. It was not only good, it was unique.
If you took the badges off I'd have to see the back to guess it was a Cadillac, and it would still be my second guess after "no-name Chinese car manufacturer."
I am going on record as saying I hate any and all use of LED guyliner in car design. Having it integrated from the factory doesn't make it any better. It's still fugly and obnoxious to look at.
LED guyliner is to the 2010s as firechickens and pseudo-firechickens are to the '80s. We'll be making fun of them in 20-30 years. Except it seems to be way more popular.

Funny you mention that, because it looks like a Benz to me.
There are definitely some cues from the Ciel concept, which I liked. I hope this will grow on me, but I'm not fond of it yet.
A twin turbo V6 is cool, no doubt about that. I hope there will be a true V-series model with 3 pedals.
The slope of the trunk looks somehow British to me, which I consider a plus, without reprising the old Seville bustle back.
Don't like the overdone LED's or the Bangle butt. Otherwise, not bad. However I am not within three time zones of Cadillac's target demographic so they won't care.
The Good: Finally getting away from folded cardboard look.
The Bad: 6 feet of integrated light sabers taking up half the fenders.
The Moral: Any styling gimmick worth doing is worth overdoing.
The Market: Same as it ever was.

Iono, the new MKwhatever- they just redid it, is SMOKIN hot. Like I'd drive a Lincoln hot.

When even car guys can't remember the nomenclature, you've failed very hard at a brand marketing strategy.
My wife liked one of their recent crossover SUV things and said she saw it the other day... "I don't know it was an MK something I think? XK.. I don't know. It was a Lincoln and it was nice."
Well, it was either the MK-S or the MK-Z, I think it was the Z as it followed the redesign of the Ford Fusion. I still don't understand what the MK-S is for.
