I think so, but maybe only to specific mean forum members and you may have to bring a Miata...I'm confused.

Is this another one of those "Amy" things that nobody here bothered to explain to me?

Member who likesto start off-kilter posts that are questionable quite often starts with an inflammatory title and then gets butt-hurt when people point out he's being rude. OP then goes farther off the deep end and is now apparently offering handies in cars.
My shiny happy person is a little rusty, so some of that may not be correct. I haven't spoken fluent shiny happy person in a while and you know what they say, if you don't use it you lose it.
No you pretty much nailed that
I participated in an event like this at the launch of the ND in 2016. North American clubs tried to gather 1000+ MX-5s at Laguna Seca. It was fun. I think they came 170 short or something like that. I think I may still have pictures somewhere. Keith was there.
There were guys from the UK club scene their that weekend taking notes and talking about doing an attempt in Europe. It appears 5 years later they finally are.

Unless it's an exquisite hand whammy, I'm not interested...

I think it's someone seeing how far they can push things.
Then get mad and leave for the third time.
I was starting to worry you would never notice.
There's been a "MINIs on the Mack" gathering in St. Ignace, Michigan for a few years now. They get over 1000 cars most years. MINIs and Miatas at the Dragon must get those kind of numbers, too.

Different strokes for different folks, more people should pay attention to that one.

They are not exquisite hand whammies. 0 out of 5 stars. Do not recommend.

The MX-5 Owners Club has done at least one since that Laguna thing (which was a private attempt with the help of Mazda, there is no inter-club organization in the US). It's always been easier to get a really huge crowd of (car) in the UK because of the strong club scene usually under a parent organization and the fact that it really isn't that big an island.

The last time I went to Miatas At The Gap, which had to have been four years ago because my car hadn't received the supercharged 1.8L yet, there was about 300 Miatas in attendance, and about 550-600 people. That was the highest they'd had so far. It was a lot of fun. Good food, better beer, nice people, spirited drives here, there and everywhere through awesome terrain.
Also, the irony of the same dude posting a thread slam-dunking on a bunch of Miata owners for just wanting to break a record and also posting a thread saying the world needs more love, less anger and hate is, uh, tremendous

Everyone has a bad day every now and then. Nothing wrong with them recognizing that.
Everyone is going through something.
Damn guys!
Used to be I couldn't keep up with most of you because I can't build a car as well as you.
Now I'm gonna be judged on how good a car I can build AND the quality of my handjobs?
I'm don't think I can keep up with you guys!

It's a delicate balance of steady tig hand and dexterous whammy hand.
