Well, I have almost that much since I sold my Tesla stock. Can I start a gofund me for you guys to make up the difference?
That should be a fun car but I don't think $381K worth of fun.
Dammit. I only have $381,222 laying around. If they're a "buy here/pay here" operation, I may be able to finance the difference.
Cool car/idea, but as with most vehicles in that range, it had better be!!
You can buy a MST MkII with ALL the goodies for half that. Granted, it won't have the provenance, but that will include a roll cage, Gartrac style flares, a Millington Diamond engine, and a sequential trans.
For a quarter of that you can get a really nice street spec car with a Duratec and a Miata 6 speed trans.
I do not know about the legalities of importing one to the US, though. Maybe could be imported as a kit and YOM registered if you had a vintage BDA lying around like they (used to?) do Caterhams with Kent engines. Or maybe a 2l Pinto OHC could work, but if you're going to go, may as well go all-in.
