Looks mean, doesn't it . Caption for the pic above could be 'Zombie Camaro'. It is practically back from the dead.
Check out the video he's put up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XYs8ggbJBg

Roberts iL? I used to live in Kempton just north of there. Lots of cool stuff in the weeds out there. Your car looks awesome hope to see more of it!
I so want that car. I had a 79 z28 and it was alot of fun. I wanted the 80 with the hood induction that opened.
I have visions of that thing coming up behind a Honda (or other small import) and the Honda springing a leak in it cooling system. LOL It just looks mean.
To all the Honda owners Yes I know a well sorted Honda would easily keep up with that beast but I have never seen a Honda that I was "scared" of. This thing is just mean looking!
I hope you bring it back to life. Hack leave the "patina" in place and sort the mechanical and you would have a monster!
Just watched that video. Love that thing!!!!
Mean, nasty, snarling, I am taking no prisoners, bit of goodness rite there!!!!!!
When I was a kid, our family car was a 71 Z28, and dad's stock car at the time was a 64 chevy 2 with a 302 Z motor. Those were good times
I had a 71 rally sport back in the mid-80s. It was a terrible car that handled badly, taught me to rebuild a small block chevy, taught me to rebuild a 4sp, taught me to chase odd electrical gremlins all the way thru a harness, and generally drained what little money I had at the time. It was candy apple red and it sounded fantastic.
Man, I loved that car.
wow that things is one hell of a beast thats for sure. nice to see somone else from ILL on here. greeetings from the grayslake,IL up here this way.

That Z/28 is freaking awesome. I see your close to Onarga, so you're not too far from me (ok an hour), it's good to know someone local.
Almost looks like something set up for IMSA with the big flares. Could be set up for vintage Trans-Am racing.
Sweet Ride !
