Is the Simpson Hybrid S still the only 3 point compatible HNRS out there??
I would like to find something we can use in our ZL1 with the stock belts, as I'm not inclined to modify them. Unfortunately, I find Simpson's pricing on the Hybrid S to be, well, stupid. But they seem to have a monopoly.
Alternatively, something like the Schroth Quick-Fit Pro harness would be great, as I could use the HNRS we already own, and it doesn't require modifying the car. Unfortunately, Schroth tells me the geometry of their system is not compatible with the Camaro, although there are folks out there using the BMW fitment in Camaros (not saying this is a good idea).
Any input?
Am I missing other options?
In reply to Rodan :
Nope, those are it. The schroth is a stopgap at best, the simpson Hybrid 3 is the best bet and yes they own the market since they bought the company who owned the IP.
I shelled out for the Simpson Hybrid, have been very happy with it
(my combination of 'vehicles without full harnesses' and 'cervical spine artificial discs' made it the obvious choice)
I have both a Simpson Hybrid and a HANS. I like the Simpson, easy to get used to, lets me use it in any car. They have two models, one with a set of rings you sandwich if you're wearing harnesses, one without. I'd probably get the one with the rings if that was the only head and neck I owned.

I managed to buy an old R3 used but recertified. It's got a handful of shortcomings, but it works with 3 points. Since I'm an HPDE instructor, I felt that was much more important than getting a 38.1 device that was actually comfortable.
