The chevelle has an aluminum headed 427 with a 150 hit of nitrous. We used a desktop dyno program to estimate somewhere around that. Most of the stuff we do is built on paper before it actually happens.

I checked earlier with UPS and actually removed the nose cone to bring it down to the required box size to avoid "over-sized" charges, but it was still kind of a lot. If you're serious, I can check again.

How much would it be for the transaxle and shipping? And how built is it?

I wish I had something to add beyond good luck. So, good luck.

I really want to see the results. I have high hopes for the beetle in this race.

Right, I love hp as much as everyone else but you guys are forgetting all about tires.

750hp Chevelle on street tires = lots of tire smoke.

200hp Beetle on R-comps or drag radials = fast car.

I'd rather have less horsepower and be able to put it all on the ground.

Just match race the guy, he'll probably be so busy swinging his 750hp nutsack around that he totally blows the launch.

So he's using a 150 shot of nitrous? And you have a 200hp na Beetle?

I'd say if you got even close but lost it's a win for you and he should still feel embarrassed!
