I heard george barris made a car for Robin for the original batman tv series and that it was only in one or two episodes and not popular so it was axed.  Striking out finding any info or more importantly pictures of it.  Anybody remember or can help find what it looked like?  All I'm getting is batmobile pictures

There were apparently a couple variants, one for early comics and one for later comics.  I don't think Robin ever had a car in the TV show or the movies.

There also several variants of a motorcycle for Robin.

This will be my excuse to rewatch the series.  I watched it in my teens because it was just so corny and mind bendingly stupid. A few weeks ago I stumbled across S1E1 and as an adult I had a different experience realizing just how tongue in cheek it was, a live action cartoon. Still stupid but totally intentional. Up there with police squad and airplane!

Don't forget about the movie too.

I am probably going down the show rabbit hole soon.  I found Burt Ward on twitter and asked if he remembers anything, maybe I'll hear back.

short story.  I stumble across something somewhere in a barn a few weeks back, not allowed to tell where or who(unrelated to the purchase i made Saturday) but i'm told Barris made it for the original batman, it maybe got used in one episode and wasn't popular with the production team.  Who knows, they may have cut it from the final product.  The car i put my eyes and hands on sure as hell looks like something he would have come up with at the time.  I am just doing this research for personal enlightenment, not for anyone or any other reason than curiosity.  I was told there are a small handful of people who know where it is(i'm now one) and that the petersen has been trying to buy it for the last 10 years but it's not for sale.  It's the kind of thing that you don't even ask to take pictures of when you're standing next to it.

I have a couple books on Barris custom (kustom) cars, and don't recall anything in them about an actual Robin car, but anything is possible.  I think at that point in his career Barris was doing some speculative work, where he'd build a car and then try to sell it to potential customers.  Sometimes that worked, sometimes it didn't.

One clue may be if there are Barris crest emblems on the car, but that isn't necessarily absolute proof - in some cases the crests have gone missing from legitimate cars, or have been added to cars he didn't build.

The only "car" that I remember Robin having in the '60s series and movie was a go kart that came out of the sidecar on the BatCycle.

It was built by Kustomotive, and not Barris, however.   There were supposed to be 5 or 6 built, IIRC, including show versions.

Speaking of Barris cars.

I had occasion to look over one of his worst creations last week. I didn't realize one of the two Foxy Vettes was in my area and almost had a *barf-gasm when I realized what I was standing next to.

It is as bad as you think it is

Many people built cars for Barris  , Dean Jeffries being on of them ,

so maybe you need to look at some of the  other builders websites for clues.

Good Luck
