Way back in the '80's, Tim Suddard did a TVR project car with a Ford V-8. I went to a test-n-tune drag race at Bithlo with him and a few other CFR racers, and watched as he broke into the high 11's with it not even trying hard.
That was a Griffith. A TVR Grantura or Vixen that Jack Griffith converted in his shop in New York. Mark Donahue was the test engineer/driver. My friend Mike Mooney now owns the rights to the company name and uses it to market Griffith and TVR parts. He has also written a very good book about the mark called "The Griffith Years".

Is it yellow? I may know that one (or did know it 25 years ago)
It's been a while but I remember it being light colored possibly yellow. The car moved into the Atlantic Beach Wonderwood area about 10 years ago. Last I saw it was probably 3 years ago and was so hard to see that you wouldn't know what it was if you haven't seen it when it was in the open.

Nope. I check there frequently, but Hayes seems to have gone more towards Lotus these days. They do have a nice 2500, but it's already on hold. I check every day and the first time I saw that car it was already on hold.
Have you talked to Hayes? If there's a TVR out there looking for a home, I'd think that he knows about it.
Not in a while. If I don't come up with something soon I'll give him a call.

I'm sure there's more: https://www.google.com/search?q=tvr+site%3Acraigslist.org&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=tvr+site:craigslist.org&start=10

You didn't read my post, did you? I need a pre-'77 TVR that was a model that was produced before 1973. Believe me, I've done all the google searches. I found three cars that way but none of them worked out. If your sure there's more, please find them and let me know, okay?
Oh, sri, forgot about the year limitation. Uh, what's wrongwith the '71 in NY?

The age restrictions make it sound like it's looking to build a vintage racer?

That doesn't look like the Financial District...
1971 tvr vixen 2500 - $18000 (Financial District)
In reply to Woody:
Already checked out and eliminated.
Guy in my club sold one a couple years ago. He might have sold 2, unless those are the ones in MO still. One was orange. He sold all his old stuff, Morgans, TVR's, and a bunch of others and bought a DB7 or a DB9 convertible.
In reply to Dr. Hess:
Thanks. That was helpful.
Hey, no problem. Just trying to help you out here. You might try emailing him and asking him if he has any leads. David Freeman. His email is on here: http://www.britishironnwa.org/
Totally irrelevant but that company that makes a kit to throw on a miata to make it look like a tvr looks pretty sweet.

Have you seen this one? There used to be a 3rd (other than the "financial district" car) that pops up on my CL from time to time. Also I know there is a very rough one sitting on the lot at authorized imports in flemington NJ. But they aren't known for being cheap. Exactly the opposite actually....

know Hope NJ??? It has been a while, but
Silver Lake Marksboro rd, about 100 yards from intersection with Hope-Blairstown rd (state route 521)
"X" marks the spot

I live in Ohio. Should I? Never heard of hope NJ.
Oh that looks interesting.

I have driven it, it isn't
?? Meaning what? You've driven it and it's not even worth $800 as it's a total pile, or meaning you've driven it and it's actually a good car and worth the asking price or something close?

What is that?
That's what you see when you zoom in on the x marks the spot above.
In reply to Stampie:
Okay. The X link didn't work for me. But I can't tell what kind of cars those are from the picture. Is he saying they are all TVR's?
