OK guys, this is going to be a longshot here. Wayback when I was a little kid I watched a movie on TV where they inserted a disk or a cartridge into a car. I think the cartridge had data on it that made the car do stuff. I really want to say the actor was Charles Bronson, but I don't really remember.
I just remember the car kind of looked like a 928 Porsche, it was very futuristic looking for the time. And they were in a parking garage for one scene where they take the cartridge disk out of the vehicle.

In fact, it may not of even been a movie. It might've been a series on TV with Charles Bronson. But I can't for the life of me find what it would've been. Especially since almost every Charles Bronson movie was him being a cop with a gun.

There was a group of bad guys holding them up for the disc in the parking garage. And he was trying to save some lady, or that lady was his sidekick or something like that.

Winner! It was Tommy Lee Jones, I was way off!

looks like the actual car in that movie was called a wingho concordia. What a name. And thank you so much for playing folks, you have solved a lifelong quest for the stupid movie car

I love this forum. I saw there were 9 posts, I knew this movie would have been identified.

You could argue that Tommy's Daytona looks kinda like a 928.

Not to be confused with Two Moon Rising...

So the Concordia does run a "Porsche engine with 5-speed transaxle" according to the maker's website. It's probably 911 based looking at the shape, but it could...COULD be a 928.

That looks to be an 80s-tastic movie for sure.

Trivia moment... what is the name of the guy who did the voice over for that trailer (and thousands of others)?

Winner gets nothing.

BMR was made during a really low period for cars. I remember thinking Tommy Lee's Daytona was badass.

Um, no.

Um, no.

And in The Wraith, the bad guy gang thought a Daytona was badass enough to race-for-pinks-under-threat-of-violence or whatever it was they were doing.
