You guys were a huge help when I asked about carbon fiber suppliers. I'm hoping you can be just as helpful when it comes to powder coating materials.

I'm taking a sandblasting and powder coating class at The TechShop (www.techshop.ws) in Allen Park next week. I also have a free 3-month membership that I'd like to make the most of.

The TechShop sells their own material but I'm sure I can get it cheaper online. Any tips?

Thanks guys!

powderbuythepound.com is who I bought the bulk of my powders through.

Harbor Freight powders have no UV protection and will fade/chalk up in about a year when exposed to regular sunlight.

columbiacoatings.com has a huge selection. The quality is really good. I bought about $100 worth of powders to get free shipping when I got my harbor freight gun. $100 worth of powder goes a long way. I must have about 5-8 different colors...haven't run out yet..

I was trying to remember that name. I found Columbia to have very slow shipping and so so prices but very nice powder. Their basic polyesters flow out really well and have a great shine.

Powderbuythepound has a lot of specialty powders. Lots of flakes, chromes, textures and veins.

These folks snuck a "handling fee" into my order without me noticing, FYI. Otherwise, its nice powder! The sneakyness stuck with me though.
