I have some cars that I am acquiring responsibility for and am trying to assess their values.

NADA guides haven't been very helpful, and private auctions are all over the map.

Hagerty prices are typically way too high. Are there any other valuation tools or sites I should be using/

-72 Chevy C10 - V8 long bed, manual trans, 2WD, very little / no rust

-61 Thunderbird. 380 V8, complete, all original, hasn't ran in ~30 years

- 56 International S120 Plow truck 4X4 - Cool old beater of a truck. Runs

- 28 Model A - partially restored. very solid starting point for a build.

- 47 Willys CJ2A - restored, but partially disassembled for some work getting done.

Thanks

I would go to hemmings or ebay and look to see what similar cars to yours are selling for:

I like looking at ebay's completed listings to understand the difference in asking price and selling price.

Sounds like a cool collection.

I find Hagerty to be quite accurate, but only if you're honest about your car's condition. Everybody thinks they have a #1 car, but the reality is that a brand new car in a dealer showroom is usually a #2. Based on your descriptions, I'd guess you're dealing with 4-5 condition cars.

In reply to Tom Suddard :

I'd say that the C10 and Willy's are arguable as "good" condition, if I put just a little work in them. Possibly the Model A as well, but I'm not sure what the uncle was working on when he passed.

The T-Bird is a major project and the Lincoln is borderline scrap material. (Anybody want a nearly free Lincoln Premiere?)

Conceptcarz dot com will give you auction results going back at least ten years.

Disregard the highest and lowest sales, subtract about 20% due to auction dick swinging madness and you'll have a rough value.

I can only speak to this one, but the answer is "all over the place." I'm currently working on a 53 CJ3A, and I've seen rusty non running ones from $500-5500. Runners with rust are often $4k+.  Restored ones, or ones that even look nice $8k+.  A 2A sold near me for $2600 and it was totally disassembled with parts just lying in the tub.

Can I ask to what end you are asking?

Have you inherited the cars and just want to maximize sales value?

Helping a friend/family widow get rid of stuff?

Hope to make them your own and need a value to make an offer to an estate?

In reply to NOHOME :

FIL now owns them all now. He is not car savvy and has asked me to help find them new homes. I'm trying to get him a fair sum for them.
