Something tells me that is going to get hung up in the dirt.

So much conflicting information out there on lifting and towing heavy loads. Nobody is complaining about the brakes though when towing a trailer with brakes as well. Going to think this through tonight start ordering some parts tomorrow.

In an hd truck the rear is already sprung really stiff. My old 01 f250 2wd 7.3 had a leveling kit when i bought it with the tire size op is looking at 33ish and looked perfect and never had the "cali stance" no matter how much E36 M3 i put in the bed. Same with my uncles 93 f250 4x4 7.3, never had a rear sag and he towed a lot. Now on standard duty f150 yeah it will sag for sure once you add junk in the back

If people keep hitting you, I feel like what you need is an accident-prevention system. Stud the rear bumper with a junkyard parking-radar system and mount flare launchers next to it.

Think of it like one of those passive safety features that cars advertise these days, except much much more active.

You could also add chaff to the flares to distract any self-driving cars that may wish you harm as well.

Don't take this the wrong way. Why lift a 2wd at all, unless you were going to build a prerunner? Just looks?

Can you trim to fit 33s?

Have you looked into regearing to accommodate the bigger tires?

I never understood lifting a truck except for requiring off road clearance. Even then, most stock jeeps can handle Moab (at least as far as clearance is required). There is nothing I hate more than requiring a ladder to reach something in the bed, or having to lift something chest-high just to put it in. To me it makes a truck nearly useless.

If I had my choice, I would lower my F150 4x4.

But I understand other people's choices. I just don't like it. At all. Ever. Never.

So yeah you can get 35s on a F250 with offset wheels. You were all right it is sooooo sllllooooowwww. Through some craigslist horse trading I was able to get two sets of OEM 235/85/16s for like 80$ out of pocket and had them mounted up and balanced for another 30$. Defiantly needs a front leveling kit now as the fronts had almost a 1 inch more rubber diameter due to wear. 40$ for a lot on Amazon that will be here tomorrow. Then about 30$ for the front alignment. Ordered some square stock to build bed sides for hauling mulch.

Ordered some bexliner for the roof and good but will take about a week. And a hub off eBay to build a tire mount in the bed.

yes they still use i beams. they are cast so they cant be heated/cut/welded/bent at all like the old forged beams.

I think if it where me and i wanted to lift it i would just go for a front leveling kit. like said before the rear springs are very stiff. I had over 1700 lbs of scrap in the bed of my f250 and it squatted ~ 1".

and yes the 5.4 is a slow pig in these trucks. my truck has 4.10's and still has a hard time moving under its own weight.
