I'm looking for a butterfly brace for an NB.  Of course, my preference is FM.  Unfortunately, they are out of stock, with no anticipated delivery date.

There are other manufacturers.  Several are in stock.  Some are cheaper.

How bad are they?  Anyone have any thoughts or comparisons?

Keith, any projected delivery dates on the FM unit?

Well, that one is a knockoff of a design of ours from 2006. One that we discontinued because we could make them lighter, more serviceable, stiffer and with less ground clearance loss. Not a direct photocopy like the OBX, which is interesting. Ask them how they obtained their stiffness data :)

"No date" just means "we don't know".  But the new FM part has proven to be challenging for US based manufacturers to produce. We're waiting for a new one to come online.

The factory Mazda stuff is pretty decent if you have an NB2.

I clicked in here thinking Cybul was Mad Mike's new 4 rotor drift car.

It sounds like a company making cheap LED products to sell on Amazon :) Honestly, it's amazing it's taken this long for rival butterflies to hit the market.

In one of the NC Miata groups I'm in someone ordered a Cybul roll bar because they didn't want to spend the money on a Blackbird and had a grudge against Hard Dog for some reason. IIRC when it showed up the fitment was generally poor and two of the the floor plates were welded on 180 degrees off of where they were supposed to be so he had to cut them off and re-weld them. I think Cybul threw him a couple bucks for his trouble but it still seemed like a headache.
