Its not. The new 6 is has the tornado(?) bell housing and the 3.4L v8 is a duratec bell. The only trans I know of is the one used in the Lincoln LS V6 manual. Not supposed to be the strong though ( I think it is a getrag 221 or something).

Some detroit diesels are also bi-blown. (FlightService-ease)
Required on 2 stroke diesel engines to operate efficiently.

Not exactly true. The blower on a Detroit 2 stroke is used to scavenge air. In stock form it doesn't boost the engine at all.
