Yup, I provided half the facts by giving you a link to exactly what was written from everyone involved.
But you apparently got somewhat slandered in a local newspaper and you're using that here why?
Look, I posted The picture the "fabricator" posted then gave everyone a direct link to not only the thread but the very page I posted my reply on. An that looks like I'm slanting something to you?
By your "logic" you yourself were leaving out half the facts by not mentioning that I posted the link here and/or that I posted the op's reply to me.
Two things:
1) That's grade A stupidity. Thanks for sharing!
2) You're arguing on the internet there, and now here too. You do know that there aren't any winners at that, right?
In reply to kylini:
Yes. Thanks for reminding me. I regret every time I lose sight of that.

Mazda Competition mufflers are basically the same thing but with lava rock instead of fiberglass or stainless wool. (Or, for that matter, random chunks of glass)
They're supposed to rattle a bit but they stand up to oppresive rotary exhaust heat and pulses. Not that I'd know, as they are also flippin' expensive.
I love this quote though:
It won't last, it has to be tempered glass, that's plate glass.
I want to make up the next internet joke that gets everybody's panties in a wad. More than likely, this was done as a joke, but now there are pages upon pages of people jumping on the bandwagon. Hopefully the original poster is getting a great laugh from all the stupidity he has unleashed.

Sadly, you're wrong. A quick read from page 5 of that thread will certainly tell you that.
At first I was like..ha ha very funny.... then I was like... WTF?

Ummmm, no you wouldn't.
That's the picture I snagged from the forum thread in order to paste it here.
Hi, I'm Derek Richardson the guy that got called a "dick" for giving my opinion about it! Called out by a few different posters to boot.

Hey!!! I too have been called a dick on this site!!! I forget what it was about but I do remember the publishers wife jumped on me and alluded to my dickieness lol! Wear it like a badge of honor my friend, it's like when Saturday night live starts making fun of you.
so, at what temperature does glass melt? Is there a real possibility he will end up shooting liquid glass out the exhaust tube? I am still waiting for the video with the truck running.
I would be tempted post this (but then I really would just be a troll):
"watch out for the backpressure those 2.5 inch tubes will create (I know backpressure IS necessary to make power in a NA vehicle). you could end up sucking a small piece of glass into your engine."
I hope that guy never decides to make baby oil

He is still trying to figure out where the wings are on a buffalo.

Don't tell me you'd experiment with real broken glass in your muffler...
Uh... maybe not? I did install this pressure plate exactly as seen to see what would happen. As i suspected, it worked pretty well and only slipped when launched off the rev limiter on slicks. I was traction limited to a 2.0 60' with a stock clutch disc. Probably could have done 1.8s on a 4 puck.
You're a busy little canoe, aren't you?
