TL, Accord, Oddessy, etc.. Anyone know the cost to have one rebuilt?

Dealers are generally more expensive than independant s. Cost will vary by the shop.
Not cheap in any case.

Including labor to remove/replace the transmission and rebuild it with warranty was right around $2k for my parent's 1998 Accord. Less than half what the dealer wanted. (Ouch!!)

I bought a re-man'ed unit for about $800, with the old trans included as a core.

Dealer's can't reman them. We swap with Hondar... their rules. Reman honda trans runs $1900-3600 depending on the vehicle with their 3/36 warranty. we have a local trans shop that "rebuilds" them for $1300 and offer a 30 day warranty. Most last 6 months from that shop. I've seen at least a dozen of our customers get burned by them in the last 12 months.

Our '05 Odyssey is going to need something in the transmission area eventually, hopefully just a torque converter, but I don't have high hopes.

After my experience with AAMCO doing a "rebuild", I'm leery of indy shop rebuilds. A factory reman (Ford), I later found out, was not much more expensive than what AAMCO charged to hack up my trans.

And yes, I'm sure there are good shops out there. Without personal experience, I'll go with a factory reman next time.

How much would it be to put a 6-speed manual (CL-S, TL-S) in there instead?

That's pretty much what the experience here is as well. I've seen my share of Aamco's hack stuff up for a few hundred less than a factory reman.
