I had to learn about them from How It’s Made Dream Cars!
I knew about them, I know about other manufacturers who've made a small number of cars that mostly aren't street legal too
In reply to GameboyRMH :
I had no idea that they’d been around since 1958.
Looks like they make street cars now though.
Type Q said:"How come you guys never told me about Ginettas?"
You didn't ask.
What, you expect everything handed to you on a silver platter? :)
You think a Miata feels small in traffic. I have always like them. The G4 or it's mid engine counterpart the G12 would be awesome to have.

We did, we have, you just haven't been paying enough attention. Detention for not paying attention in class, your assignment is to post pictures in chronological order of every Ginetta ever produced. Come on now, get on with it you don't have all day.
I’m just surprised by how many oddball makes Ive learned about here that I’ve never seen one of these written about.
I love them, but never had a chance to drive one. I did sit in one at Road Atlanta once. To say they are small is not quite right, they are tiny. They make a Miata feel like a full sized Buick.

I think there was an article in the July 1999 issue as well on the G4
If I told you all my secrets I'd have to kill you. Seriously, if you were a brit car guy you would know about TVRs, Ginettas, Marcos, and a bunch of other cool oddball sports cars. Real question is why haven't you ventured 15 miles down the road to Carver and hung out with Mazda605, me, and the rest of our deranged car guy friends.
Thanks to this thread, I have had Gorillaz' "Dare" stuck in my head.
A long ways back, I used to buy English car magazines/tabloids. There was a test where they tested a Dare and kept "accidentally" calling it a Ginetta.
