berkeley me. I have two. And the garage is a mess. Do you know how much blow and hookers I could have bought with that pile of unusable machinery? Like... probably some. berkeley me.

None.
Broken daily drivers, on the other hand, abound. Because if given the choice between fixing a car, or driving a car that makes you giggle just sitting in traffic let alone actually driving down the road... what would you do?

Oddly enough - two. Garage, basement and a rented garage are a mess. I could have had one good one, but no, I've got a wandering eye.

I'm not sure what you are getting at... but I am all out of money so I haveto fix these. I can't just buy another race car that blows up on it's first race weekend. That would be silly. Unless you have some money to let.... I could always use sponsors!

I daily drive my horribly bestickered, noxious, noisy RX-7 because BOTH of my VWs are not running.
Because I can't be arsed to fix them, when I have a perfectly servicable RX-7 to drive instead. I mean, it has plates and insurance and it makes the coolest noises at 9500rpm... why would I want to debug the CIS in some car that barely get up to highway speed and sounds like the engine noises from an 8-bit video game?

Oh. They are VWs. I thought you meant cars that were not working as designed
if autocross cars count as "race" cars, two and a half. My busted geo, the datsun replica I'm building, and the donor datsun that i've been pulling parts off of to build the replica. Now I'm torn over whether or not to buy that (also non-running) MGB.
GPS, you seem to mention hookers and blow quite a bit. Is there something you need to tell us
I wish I had two broken race cars. One running would be better, but two broken is better than what I have now.
None, really. Well, only one is a "racecar" (the e30). The GT6 isn't broken and can be driven whenever. The e30 same. The e21 is just starting a restoration, so it's obviously "not drivable." And it's not a racecar.
So....none, I guess.
One. It's at the body shop getting fixed and a full paint job after a racing incident. Once it's home I have to replace a couple suspension components that are likely bent from said incident.
I have two. A mini and a miata that are both undriveable. I had a third, but I sold it the other day. The good news is I have one functional race car. The bad news is every time I've tried to drive it, it breaks. Hopefully this weekend will be better and I won't have three broken ones.

It tells me that he has sponsors to pay for things.
One broken race car (Catalina), one semi-broken (Fulvia), two broken motorcycles, all spread out between two garages and one shop which is probably charging exorbitant storage fees. Stupid life, always gets in the way of fun.
My "fun" car is a worn out Focus ZX3 with a slushbox and used up SVT suspension. Occasionally I can hammer down an interesting on-ramp.

I have a broken ricemobile, that I broke on purpose to get parts out of, and a mixed street/track car that's down because the parts are going into it...so none!

If you count these, I have two. If not one.

This seems to be a common theme on this forum. Don't you guys get tired of being in an endless stream of non-usable projects?

I think some of us enjoy working on cars as much as driving them.

Ummm.....no?
Some people hang out in clubs and raves. Some people go to wine tastings and art shows. Some people putter around with old cars.......
Driving is nice......so it fabricating bits.
