I found a Lotus Elan +2, a Citroen SM, an SCCA D Sports Racer, several Mercedes, LeMans footage of various Porsches and lots of other cool stuff.

Late 60’s Corvette, Jensen Interceptor and an air cooled VW “pickup”.  Not to mention the Bell helicopter lobbing flour bombs.  Lol.

Search is a cool series. I remember watching it when I was about 14 years old. I had never seen a Lotus Elan before watching that show. The building where Probe Control was supposed to be was the Bank of America building on 555 California Street in Downtown San Francisco. My dad worked near there.

Leslie Stevens produced this show. He was also the guy who produced the Outer Limits in 1963. They did try to pass off the D Sports Racer as something that was raced at Le Mans. frown

I've been watching Mannix, and Cannon. There's usually a chase scene with lots of understeer and oversteer. Mannix drives a Convertible Cuda. Cannon drives a Lincoln Mark lll(?). I've seen early 60's Thunderbirds, Datsun 510, Mazda RX2, XKE, Dusters, etc, etc.

The helicopters are old piston engine bubble canopy's. The other day Mannix was cropdusting with a bi wing plane I have no idea what it was.

I love the car phones both series use. No antenna to be found.

I remember watching that show as a kid also.  Very cool cars there.  I think the black sports racer is actually a B Sports Racer.  It looks to me like a Lola T210/T212.  They were driven by a bunch of big names in Europe at the time.  Not a LeMans car but not too far off.  Adding the squealing tire sounds to the stock race footage was a little cheesy though.
