Of course if we get the mild winter I keep reading about, they may not get as much storage as I thought.

Having the same "issue" with the Vette.
However, Advance has this unit on sale for $50. Used me $20 off Speedperks coupon. Plugs into cigarette lighter, which should make things a lot easier.

It also charges lithium batteries (and I believe AGMs too).
What exactly is the point of starting a car's engine once a week during the winter? boredom prevention?
I have had Battery Tender Plus units continuously connected to both my Audi which is seldom driven and my Kubota tractor which is driven even less for over 10 years and never the battery in either fail or boil dry. Before getting the Tenders I twice replaced the tractor battery and once the Audi due to sulfation issues with the batteries being replaced lasting 3 years or less.
I occasionally move the Tender for the tractor to the Sprinter (when it sits for a week or so), generator, and lawn mower to help keep them up, but truth be told they should each have their own Tender.
