Got my first ever SpecMiata win at Nelson in 2006. I also became entangled in one of its infamous tire walls outside of the carousel. I hope to be instructing there in August with the Porsche club. Looking forward to this article. Thanks!
I have a bunch of photos from the last 24 hour race I was in.
I did a track event when he first bought it. They paved half the track, then next event they paved it in it's entirity, what a difference. I was able to talk to him great guy, thank you for saving it and listening to me about bringing champcar.

Yeah, nice to see the track brought back from the brink. Lotta people we know have run there. It's history.
In the 70's I attended a flagger's school there and ac tually worked a couple of races with Lake Erie Communications and my good friend, Craig Rhine (RIP). Great memories!

I spent 4 years ~30 minutes away from Nelsons. It was the first track I ever drove on, I did DE's with the PCA in my GTi. Fun track, horrible facilities. Those open pit bathrooms were seriously gross in the mid to late '90's.
