The plot of this film, titled “Le Marginal,” may be about a loose cannon French cop who doesn’t play by the rules, but we know a Bullitt homage when we see one.
Although few scenes can even come close to Steve McQueen’s iconic chase, we’d say the French know how to ma…

Is hand-washing your car on a blind corner under a bridge a common practice in France?

Maybe? I kinda expected more--like it was foreshadowing and later they'd get caught up in something with the main action.
Awesome. And, now I can add Le Marginal style Mustang coupe to the list of cars I'd like to build someday but probably never will.
This was one of those videos you end up at after falling pretty far down a YouTube rabbit hole. I'll take this over weird conspiracy videos any day, though.
Is it ok that I like this mustang better than the one on Bullit?
I think we need jfryjfry's analysis :)
Although I have to say Le Marginal's Mustang is meaner looking than McQueen's.
They couldn't afford to blow up a gas station?
A Mustang chasing a Chrysler product.
There's French Connection, too in there- with the chase under the viaduct or track thing.
I especially enjoyed the "lead car launches onto right two wheels and smashes the roof into a column before crashing into another column, getting bloodied and battered 3x by chase car" scene. Pretty sure you can hear someone laughing during that part.

Starts Bullitt, but end a bit Blues Brothers-ery

"He's on the top rope!!"
Some Hal Needham - style stunts in there too. Running through an empty shed, a big plate glass window that just happened to be moved across the path of the chase, and so on. I'm surprised there wasn't a vendor with a fruit cart (or since it's in France, a vendor with a baguette cart.)
Good fun, although I'd rather have seen a Renault A110 as the car being chased.
A pretty great, funky french movie is Diva, which has a couple neat chase scenes including one (slow one) with a moped if you can imagine:

where did they find a Piece O E36 M3 like a dodge aspen for this movie in france??
hahahaha
Seriously, I kept looking at the car being chased and thinking where the hell did they find that in France?!
And agreed that that Mustang is more badass than the one in Bullitt.
The plate glass reminds me of Wayne's World II.
The French make the best action flicks. Hollywood get the glamour but props to the French. That was as good as French Connection or 7Ups chase scenes in similar 70s theme.
All I can say is
French Connection United Kingdom that was good.
things I liked: a run of the mill mustang, no fancy models. several "over the shoulder" shots from driver POV. Actual damage that stayed on the hero car. A... dodge diplomat? What was that car? The "we did a 360" fake was iffy for me. Wish they did it in one take, no cuts.
things I didn't like: almost replica ripoff styling. The cheesy "through the glass wall" antic. Wtf two wheels.
Hubcaps didn't fly off of the dodge. What a disappointment.

It's French, shouldn't they be running away from each other?
That was pretty good. Good idea to sunroof the car to help naturally light up the driver
