This will give their “dynamic time.” The lowest dynamic time is worth 100 points. Points for second and subsequent places are determined by dividing the winning time by each other time, then multiplied by 100. For example, if the winning combined dynamic time is 74.2 seconds and second place is 75.0 seconds, the 74.2 driver receives 100 points while second place gets 98.9 points (74.2/75.0 = .989 x 100 = 98.9).
Thanks ransom for bringing that forward. However, I am still confused.
The winning dynamic time was 58.485. If I read the rule correctly that would give them a Dscore of 100, not 75.211
The lowest dynamic time is worth 100 points.
How did Patrick get a Dscore of 75.211?

For anyone else reading along, the results are here.
For a sec, I was thinking everything had been rescaled for a max total of 100 including concours, so max dscore down to 75, but the top dscore is, as you note, 75.211...
I'm lost. By my reading of the rules, that 75.211 should be 100 by definition as the top dscore. I suspect this means I'm either misreading the rules or reading wrong rules, but that's all I've got...
Maybe it's like grading on a curve? Pat got that score, so it is the "100" and the rest fall in line... or are Dscores calculated individually (50 pts at autox, 30 at drags, 20 at concours possible) and then the aggregate becomes the total score..or something. So if the top score at concours was say 30, and the next closest would be 27, the top car gets a full 20pts Dscore, and the next car in line gets 90% of that, or 18pts. That's how I always read these things. And since pat never actually WON a single category, he won on highest aggregate.
The most points that can be awarded is 125.
If Pat's Dscore was 100 and his concours was 100/4 that would make his score 125.

SVreX, I didn't see that you were asking the same questions as me. I'm sure there was a reason but I have been wondering how they came up with the Dscore given the rules as I know them to be.
Looking forward to the answer so I won't be confused........well, when it comes to that. LOL.
I have gone through and updated the GRM $2013 Challenge results. There was an issue with one of the values in the spreadsheet that was corrupted which through off the total scores. The values have been corrected and the new results posted.
Thanks for hanging in there with us as we worked to sort it out. Systems will be in place next year for this to not happen again.
