Just finished the front down tubes thru the firewall and out to the front frame rails. Getting ready to remake the top of the strut towers out of tube and don't want to leave myself short. How wide, at the widest part of the valve covers is a Chevy LS engine? Right now I have 31 inches between towers, but I'd like to make the top stut tower "halo" surround the existing tower and cut out the actual tower later. That will leave me 3.5 inches less space.

Thanks. Went out and measured a second time. I actually have close to 33 inches, so I went ahead and bent them so they fit without removing the tower just yet. Nice to keep the car a roller as long as possible. Took 2 tries. First time the tube started to flatten out when I got to around 130, so I went 90 skipped 3 inches and then went 90* again.
